Our History

Jack Mitchell formed the Jack Mitchell Big Band in the late 1990s. As a drummer, Jack Mitchell formed his 15 piece band with talented musicians who enjoyed performing on a regular basis.

The Jack Mitchell Band won numerous awards including the Ozark Music Award as the best jazz and swing band in Northwest Arkansas. At the request of AETN the band was asked to perform music from the WWII era. The concert was viewed by over a thousand people, and has been aired many times with Ken Burn’s latest documentary, “The War”.
